摘要: Abstract Purpose The use of central venous catheters for long-term hemodialysis has been associated with increased mortality and high prevalence infection stenosis. However, because still constitute a significant proportion vascular access in prevalent populations, even the Fistula-First era, authors examined patient outcomes performance this type to inform current clinical practice. Materials Methods conducted retrospective cohort study 433 patients on maintenance dialysis program from January 1999 through April 2008 all using twin-catheter Tesio Caths (TCs) (MedCOMP, Harleysville, Pennsylvania). Written electronic records were respect laboratory indices as well mortality, access-related infection, need thrombolytic infusion, revision adequacy. Results A total 759 TCs inserted 552,035 catheter days follow-up. Thirty-six percent insertions incident ( Conclusions Appropriate protocolized care can deliver effective good adequacy rates approaching those seen arteriovenous grafts.
