摘要: Abstract Ethnopharmacological relevance The article presents the local knowledge on medicinal plants and their in managing health problems. Important ethnobotanical leads are given with priority species disease categories, casting insight future phytochemical pharmacological studies. Aim of study use traditional has been an integral part healthcare systems Djibouti. However, scientific studies herbal healing various cultural groups have never undertaken. This has, therefore, aimed at assessing plant-related ethnomedicinal people Randa Region; prioritising respect to common categories inferring about prospects new products. Materials methods Interview-based field was carried out document plant-based handed down present by oral tradition living 24 villages Tadjourah District Region (north Djibouti). Informant Consensus Factors (ICF) Fidelity Level (FL) values were calculated check level informant agreement potentials species. Results A total 91 plant that belong 72 genera 40 families documented. Most these (92%) collected from non-cultivated areas. Their names uses medicine also studied. family Fabaceae represented highest number taxa (17 species). Strong agreements hinted good some as shown high consensus factors for eye diseases (0.98), mouth (0.93), kidney problems (0.89) microbial infections (0.84). Dodonea angustifolia, Solanum cordatum, Grewia erythraea, Acalypha indica, Acacia etbaica, Fagonia schweinfurthii, coagulans, Senna alexandrina tembensis scored FL emerging promising screening against infections. Conclusion results this may inspire further ethnopharmacological research investigations toward drug discovery Djibouti beyond.
