摘要: Solanum somalense leaves, used in Djibouti for their medicinal properties, were extracted by MeOH. Because of the high polyphenol and flavonoid contents extract, respectively, determined at 80.80 ± 2.13 mg gallic acid equivalent/g dry weight 24.4 1.01 quercetin weight, isolation purification main polyphenols carried out silica gel column chromatography centrifugal partition chromatography. Column led to 11 enriched fractions requiring further purification, while allowed easy recovery compound extract. In a solvent system composed CHCl3/MeOH/H2O (9.5:10:5), 21.8 this 97% purity was obtained leading yield 2.63%. Its structure established as 5-O-caffeoylshikimic mass spectrometry NMR spectroscopy. This work shows that S. leaves contain very level (0.74% weight), making it potential source production secondary metabolite is not commonly found nature but could be partly responsible properties leaves.
