摘要: The study of nervous system regeneration and axonal outgrowth control are relevant in several research areas, like neurophysiology or biomedical engineering. Among the elements that neuron dynamics, host substrate topography is a key parameter determining cell differentiation. We present time-lapse experiments to analyze differentiation dynamics PC12 cells on nanopatterned biocompatible substrates. 200 nm depth gratings were fabricated tissue-culture polystyrene substrates by nanoimprint lithography; different linewidths pitches compared down 500 1000 nm, respectively. cultured these and, following NGF administration medium, body morphology, movement neuritogenesis monitored at time periods. In addition demonstrating guided differentiation, our studies show complex variations morphology axon length, movement. unstable synaptic connections cell-body polarization, competition between topographical guidance cell–cell interactions.
