摘要: Abstract NFBD1/KIAA0170 is a nuclearfactor with an N-terminal FHA (forkhead-associated) domain and tandem repeat of BRCT (breastcancer susceptibility gene-1 C terminus)domains, both which are present in number proteins involved DNA repair and/or damage signaling pathways. We have investigated the association NFBD1 responses. found that transcript abundant testis relative to other tissues. chromatin-associated protein modified G2/M phase or after damage. phosphorylation response ionizing radiation (IR) was ATM-dependent. exhibited diffuse nuclear staining majority untreated cells analyzed by indirect immunofluorescence formed discrete foci exposure IR, UV radiation, hydroxyurea treatment. IR induced within 1 min. The colocalized γ-H2AX foci, been previously shown localize at sites double-strand breaks. IR-induced also 53BP1 MRE11/RAD50 foci. Taken together, these results suggest mediator damage-dependent signaling.
