摘要: The clinical feeding-swallowing evaluation is the most widely used method by speech-language pathologist for assessing a child’s ability to feed safely and efficiently. It typically first step taken in overall assessment process important as it often sets plan motion. feeding-swallow has various purposes goals. Per American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), goals include (1) diagnosing or suspecting feeding and/or swallowing impairment, (2) determining phase of swallow that may be involved disorder, (3) if patient should referred an interdisciplinary team other medical specialists, (4) instrumental warranted, (5) developing therapy/treatment program. patient’s age history influence goal evaluation, but overriding objective determine safety efficiency eating all patients.
