PPARgamma activation induces the expression of the adipocyte fatty acid binding protein gene in human monocytes.

摘要: The peroxisome-proliferator activated receptor gamma (PPARgamma), a member of the nuclear superfamily ligand transcription factors, plays key role in anti-diabetic actions thiazolidinediones (TZDs). PPARgamma induces expression many genes involved lipid anabolism, including adipocyte fatty acid binding protein (aP2), and is regulator differentiation. also expressed hematopoietic cells up-regulated monocytes/macrophages. Activation may play induction differentiation macrophages to foam that are associated with atherosclerotic lesions. We report both natural synthetic agonists induce time- dose-dependent increases aP2 mRNA primary human monocytes monocytic cell line, THP-1. These data suggest activation monocyte function analogous its well-characterized adipocytes.
