摘要: This study explores how mental illness shapes transitions to marriage among unwed mothers using augmented data from the Fragile Families and Child Wellbeing study. We estimate proportional hazard models assess effects of on likelihood over a five year period following non-marital birth. Diagnosed was obtained survey respondents' prenatal medical records. find that with were about two thirds as likely without marry, even after controlling for demographic characteristics, human capital, relationship quality, partner selection, substance abuse explain only small proportion effect marriage.
