Spirituality and mental health status among Northern Plain tribes.

摘要: Spirituality measures often show positive associations with preferred mental health outcomes in the general population; however, research among American Indians (AIs) is limited. We examined relationships of status and two spirituality - Midlife Development Inventory (MIDI) a tribal cultural measure Northern Plains AIs, aged 15-54 (n = 1636). While MIDI was unassociated status, showed significant relationship better status. Mental conditions disproportionately affect AIs. Understanding protective factors such as that can mitigate disorders critical to reducing these disparities.
