摘要: Minimally invasive surgery (MIS) is rising in popularity. It offers well-known benefits to the patient. However, restricted access surgical site and gas insufflation into body cavities may result severe complications. From anaesthetic point of view MIS poses unique challenges associated with creation pneumoperitoneum, carbon dioxide absorption, specific positioning monitoring a patient whom anaesthetist has often access, poorly lit environment. Moreover, refinement procedures growing experience presented patients from high-risk groups (obese, elderly, advanced cardiac respiratory disease) who once were deemed unsuitable for laparoscopic technique. Anaesthetic management aimed at getting safely through procedure, minimizing risks arising laparoscopy patient's coexisting medical problems, ensuring quick recovery relatively pain-free postoperative course early return normal function.
