摘要: Publisher Summary Oncogenes play an important role in the regulation of cellular resistance to ionizing radiation. This chapter reviews some that evidence and attempt formulate themes underlying oncogenic basis radiation resistance. Cellular sensitivity is a complex function diverse molecular, biochemical, genetic, or environmental factors. Ionizing induces multiple biological effects either by direct interaction with DNA through formation free radical species leading damage. These include cell cycle-specific growth arrest, repair damage, radical-scavenging proteins, gene mutations, malignant transformation, killing. Some these genes ( ras, raf, cot, mos , myc ) demonstrate cooperative effect toward The possibility selective among proteins analogous involved signal transduction leads proliferation differentiation. Perturbations cycle (G 1 G 2 arrest) cycle-related appear be factors contributing survival. An aspect survival response its at level cycle. modulation resistance, mitogenic signals, response, causes radiation-resistant phenotype are also discussed chapter.
