摘要: Cutaneous injury, whether by laser, chemical, or scalpel, results in scar formation. The normal response to such an insult occurs the middle of a continuum wound repair processes. On one end are overhealed responses (i.e., keloids). opposite tissue regeneration and scarless healing as seen fetal wounds. This article reviews molecular biology mechanisms leading these various clinical phenotypes discusses future potential modalities that may replicate mechanism adults.
