摘要: During development, extracellular signals are integrated by cells to induce the transcriptional circuitry that controls morphogenesis. In fly epidermis, Wingless (Wg)/Wnt signaling directs produce either a distinctly shaped denticle or no denticle, resulting in segmental pattern of belts separated smooth, 'naked', cuticle. Naked cuticle results from Wg repression shavenbaby (svb), which encodes transcription factor required for construction. We have discovered although svb promoter responds differentially altered levels, Svb alone cannot morphological diversity denticles found wild-type belts. Instead, second Wg-responsive factor, SoxNeuro (SoxN), cooperates with shape denticles. Co-expressing ectopic SoxN rescued diverse morphologies. Conversely, removing activity eliminated residual mutant embryos. Furthermore, several known target genes also activated SoxN, and we two novel expressed denticle-producing regulated independently Svb. conclude proper morphogenesis requires regulation both
