摘要: The larval epidermis of Drosophila shows a stereotyped segmentally repeating pattern cuticular structures. Mutants deficient for the wingless gene product show highly disrupted patterning cuticle. We have manipulated expression wg to assess its role in this process. present evidence four distinct phases function epidermal cells: (1) an early requirement engrailed-expressing cells establish and maintain stable en, (2) discrete period when en products act concert generate positional values anterior portion ventral segment all dorsal lateral epidermis, (3) progressive (dependent on prior interaction with en-expressing cells) conferring within posterior segment, (4) late continuous maintaining some values.
