摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter highlights some of the functions wingless protein (Wg) in cell fate determination. Wg has a role patterning variety embryonic tissues; however, best studied developmental for is segmental patterning. Drosophila segmentation regulated by both maternal and zygotic genes that pattern embryo stepwise fashion. Initially, anterior–posterior axis established then subdivided into units. occurs syncytial blastoderm, unique feature embryos, where first 13 nuclear divisions occur absence cellular divisions. After cells have formed, begins to gastrulate, within each unit begins. At this point, epidermis an epithelial monolayer must establish maintain polarity specific fates unit, as well borders between them. Prior gastrulation, blastoderm directed maternally zygotically expressed genes, most which encode transcription factors. However, once cellularization complete segments been established, determined intercellular communication. The two signaling pathways determine are pathway, subject review, Hedgehog pathway.
