摘要: Superior oil yield is always the top priority of palm industry. Short trunk height (THT) and compactness traits have become increasingly important to improve harvesting efficiency since industry started suffer losses due labor shortages. Breeding populations with low THT short frond length (FL) are actually available, such as Dumpy AVROS pisifera (DAV) Gunung Melayu dura (GM). However, multiple trait stacking still remains a challenge for breeding, which usually requires 12-20 years complete breeding cycle. In this study, increment in GM × (GM-3341) DAV (GM-DAV-3461) crossing programs were evaluated palms good smaller identified. GM-3341 family, non-linear growth between THT_2008 (seven old) THT_2014 (13 was revealed by moderate correlation, suggesting that inter-palm competition becomes important. total, 19 quantitative loci (QTLs) (8), per (O/P) (7) FL (4) localized on linkage map, an average mapping interval 2.01 cM. Three major QTLs THT_2008, O/P co-located chromosome 11 reflect correlation FL. Multiple selection high (based cumulative effects positive alleles trait) identified one from 100 palms, but large starting population 1000-1500 seedling cross, frequency could be easily compensated during selection.
