摘要: Abstract HMG CoA reductase inhibitiors (statins) have been shown to be effective lipid lowering agents and are beneficial in the primary secondary prevention of coronary heart disease. However, overall benefits observed with statins appear greater than what might expected from changes levels alone positive effects only partially reproduced other drugs, suggesting addition cholesterol lowering. In experimental models, many cholesterol-independent mediated by inhibition isoprenoids, which serve as attachments for intracellular signalling molecules such small Rho guanosine triphosphate-binding proteins, whose membrane localization function dependent on isoprenylation. This review summarizes endothelial oxidative stress.
