摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter describes the expanded superfamily of prolactin (PRL)/growth hormone (GH)/cytokine receptors, ligand-binding determinants role receptor dimerization and tyrosine phosphorylation in signal transduction, newly discovered family transcriptional activators utilized by superfamily. The that originally included GH PRL receptors has grown to include a number cytokines. Although overall amino acid identity is low between members this family, there significant (14-25%) over -200 acids extracellular region these receptors. Two characteristic features are seen superfamily: first presence two pairs cysteines, usually found N-terminal molecule, which for receptor, have been shown be linked sequentially. Near C-terminal extremity homologous region, highly conserved WSXWS motif (tryptophan, serine, any acid, tryptophan, serine), all members, except conservative substitutions occur. very little conservation primary sequence cytoplasmic domains, three regions, known as Box 1, 2, 3, many family.
