Hybrid MMSE precoding for mmWave multiuser MIMO systems

摘要: Millimeter-wave (mmWave) communication has emerged as one of the most promising technologies to deal with increasing demand in data transmissions over wireless networks. However, due propagation characteristic at mmWave band, much higher pathloss is observed compared commonly-used microwave band. Thus, antenna arrays become a necessary ingredient systems because their needed beamforming gains. Beamforming for multiple users, also known multiuser precoding, can be utilized further improve spectral efficiency systems. Unfortunately, fully digital precoding large difficult implement hardware cost and power constraint Recent works literature have advocated structure hybrid analog/digital systems, which only minor performance degradation observed. In this work, we study After reviewing recent on designs, then develop new minimum mean-squared error (MMSE) precoder. The proposed precoder easily obtained by an orthogonal matching pursuit-based algorithm. Simulation results show significant advantages designs various system settings.
