Quantum Langevin model for exoergic ion-molecule reactions and inelastic processes

摘要: We present a fully quantal version of the Langevin model for total rate exoergic ion-molecule reactions or inelastic processes. The model, which is derived from rigorous multichannel quantum-defect formulation bimolecular processes, agrees with classical at sufficiently high temperatures. It also gives an analytic description and processes in ultracold regime where quantum nature relative motion between reactants becomes important.
