摘要: Thermal injury is known to induce alterations in the immune system, but precise mechanisms have yet be elucidated. It has been shown that thermal more than 20% of total body surface area (TBSA) leads disturbances cortisol metabolism and equilibrium hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis. We investigated temporal relationship between serum levels, C-reactive protein, immunoglobulin levels post-burn period. Twenty-one adult burn patients (mean age, 52 ± 17 yrs) were included study (TBSA, 10-80%); nine developed sepsis five died. The nonseptic group consisted twelve patients. Thirty healthy blood donors served as controls. Our results suggest increased decreased could related severe clinical outcome.
