摘要: A device was developed to monitor rectal temperature automatically in cattle for application research settings. Compared with manual measurement of temperature, this decreases labor and time requirements allows data collection without the influence animal handling or restraint. The consists a custom-fabricated aluminum tail harness that supports an indwelling logger. Materials cost approximately US $300 per unit, units are completely reusable. Use would increase conditions under which accurate measurements can be obtained experiments cattle.
