摘要: Radio tags, because of their high detectability, are often used in capture-recapture studies. A key assumption is that radio tags do not cease functioning during the study. Radio-tag failure before end a study can lead to underestimates survival rates. We develop model incorporate secondary radio-tag data. This was applied chinook smolts (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha) on Columbia River, Washington. Estimates fish from this were much larger than those standard Cormack-Jolly-Seber analysis.
