摘要: Plasma thiols have been the object of growing interest because numerous studies indicated that even a mild degree hyperhomocysteinemia is associated with an increased risk developing occlusive vascular diseases (1)(2)(3)(4)(5). However, mechanism behind injuries still unknown. Studies possible pathogenetic plasma homocysteine concentrations are difficult little known about for formation different species in vivo. We recently published method measures reduced and total fractions homocysteine, cysteine, glutathione, cysteinylglycine(6). In preliminary study, we found patients suffering from stroke hyperhomocysteinemia, whereas their was within health-related reference interval(7). We hypothesized oxidized forms were attributable to hyperoxidative state plasma. also observed (8) renal failure had interval despite homocysteine. The redox may be influenced by other (9), such as which involved maintaining intracellular form. In present therefore investigated relationships between glutathione 29 healthy subjects 15 or liver failure. used newly developed preparation procedure, especially designed minimize several pitfalls frequently influence determinations. Increased hemolysis during sample collection causes falsely measurements high contents blood cells. decreases time activity γ-glutamyltransferase Furthermore, disappears minutes cell-free oxidation(7)(10)(11)(12). …
