摘要: Empirical research highlights the need for improving childhood anxiety disorder diagnostic classification system. In particular, inconsistencies in stability estimates of disorders and high rates comorbidity call into question utility current DSM criteria. This paper makes a case utilizing nomological net4 model advancing understanding disorders. this article, we discuss measurement assessment issues related to system show how these can be addressed by employing net anxiety. Because involves drawing from etiological process theories facilitate assessment, an integrative is presented as tentative heuristic. Then evidence existing symptom sets discussed context theory mechanisms may utilized improve assessment. Testable hypotheses are presented. Measurement, definition, treatment, policy implications also discussed.
