摘要: Although house dust mite (HDM) allergy is a major cause of respiratory allergic disease, specific diagnosis and effective treatment both present unresolved challenges. Guidelines for the rhinitis asthma are well supported in literature, but evidence on efficacy pharmacotherapy known HDM-allergic patients weaker. The standard diagnostic techniques--skin prick test IgE testing--can be confounded by cross-reactivity. However, component-resolved using purified recombinant allergens can improve accuracy testing, availability limited. Treatment options HDM limited include avoidance, which widely recommended as strategy, although its variable. Clinical documented; however, symptom relief does not extend beyond end treatment. Finally, allergen immunotherapy has poor improving base (notably sublingual tablets) benefits last after ends. This review identifies needs deeper physician knowledge extent impact further development improved access to molecular diagnosis. Furthermore, there need better-designed clinical trials explore utility allergen-specific approaches, uptake data into guidance physicians more therapy practice.
