摘要: The effectiveness of the alcohol iodine in decontaminating guta-percha cones contaminated with either bacterial cells ( Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, Escherichia coli ) or spores Bacillus subtilis was tested laboratory. were treated for 1, 5, 10 and 15 minutes at concentrations 0,3% to 3%, rinsed ether. After this, each cone transferred a tube containing sterile saline mixed 30 seconds vortex shaker remove count surviving microorganisms. At 0,3%, 1%, 2% 3% destroyed 1 minute adhered surface gutta-percha but it did not eliminate even after exposure. results obtained our study do confirm indication quick decontamination cones.
