摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses a study examining functional activity of granulocytes from patients with neutrophilic dermatoses. Neutrophil functions such as motility and chemotactic migration were tested against well-characterized chemotaxins, for example, C5a, FMet-LeuPhe, 5-S(+)-HETE, leukotriene B4, the synthetic C-16-platelet activating factor (PAF). PMN-O2− production release enzymes elicited by C5a along FMetLeuPhe PAF at different concentrations Chemotactic investigated conventional Boyden chamber technique or newly developed enzymatic method. Patients active psoriasis show an increased responsiveness in FMetLeuPhe-dependent chemotaxis, enzyme release, O2−-production. hyperactivity was not stimulus-dependent observed remission. PMN also other inflammatory dermatoses may be regarded common sign acute responsiveness. However, some severe pustular demonstrated complete absence all C5a-dependent functions, whereas stimulated chemotaxins affected. phenomenon acne conglobata, furunculosis, abscesses, erysipelas.
