摘要: OBJECTIVES To analyze factors associated with age at natural menopause in elderly women who are part of the Health, Well-Being and Aging Study- which is a representative sample residents municipality Sao Paulo, Brazil. METHODS Multivariate Cox proportional-hazards analysis using data from total 1,415 menopause. We included 163 hysterectomy, oophorectomy, estrogen therapy as censored data. RESULTS The median was 50 years. In multivariate proportional hazards, smoking earlier for three cohorts (2000, 2006, 2010). Current smokers had 35% higher risk (hazard ratio [HR] 1.35, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.12, 1.62) former 27% (HR 1.27, CI 1.09, 1.50), comparison never-smokers. Women 8 years or more formal education 33% lower 0.67, 0.50, 0.89) than no education, were separated, widowed, divorced 15% 1.15, 1.00, 1.31) married women. Marital status parity later only 2006. CONCLUSIONS found significant associations reproductive lifestyle similar to some studies developed countries.
