摘要: Antidepressant medications are the most common treatment for major depression and related disorders. Pharmacogenetic studies have demonstrated that response to these is associated with genetic variation. While been invaluable they yet explain why a significant number of patients do not respond their initial medication. The epigenetic modification known as DNA methylation has recently studied in context antidepressant response. As such, purpose this article review advances made relatively new field pharmaco-epigenetics We included all published articles examining association Major Depressive Disorder from April 2006 June 2016 using PubMed, Medline, PsychInfo Web Science databases. At present time, although original limited, modifications SLC6A4, BDNF, IL11 genes showing promising results biomarkers prediction However, research methods heterogeneous additional required before generalizable. end we provide recommendations study design analytic approaches.
