摘要: Abstract Objectives Although treatment paradigms have not changed significantly, radiotherapy, surgery, and imaging techniques improved, leading us to investigate oncologic survival outcomes for oral cavity squamous cell cancer (OCSCC) patients treated with surgery followed by postoperative IMRT. Material methods Records of pathological diagnosis OCSCC between 2000 2012 were retrospectively reviewed. Patients’ demographic, disease, criteria extracted. Kaplan-Meier method was used calculate curves. Results Two hundred eighty-nine analyzed. Median follow-up 35 months. sixty-eight had neck dissections (93%), which 66% nodal involvement, 51% those positive extracapsular extension. Forty received induction chemotherapy 107 concurrent chemotherapy. dose high risk clinical target volume 60 Gy/30 fractions. The 5-year locoregional control overall rates 76% 57%, respectively. Tumors >1.5 cm depth invasion significantly higher local failure compared ≤1.5 cm (p 1.5 cm (p = 0.003) independent predictors poorer survival. Conclusions Disease consistent historical data did appear compromised the use
