摘要: Surface flashover is one of the major issues in electrical insulation power systems operating either space (vacuum or partial vacuum) atmospheric (earth-bound) environments. Development new and advanced materials to be used requires extensive studies on characteristics these before they can commercial systems. In this paper, we present experimental results surface vacuum epoxy resin cast with powdered Al/sub 2/O/sub 3/. The were conducted using DC AC signals separately. voltage current wave forms samples light emission form video images during breakdown recorded. Optical data collected by a camera along PMT are analyzed analysis optical presented. experiments produced known properties mixing quantities 3/ epoxy. electrode material placed over dielectric was copper.
