摘要: Aim To compare the efficacy of alcohol delamination (ALD) and phototherapeutic keratectomy (PTK) for treatment recurrent corneal erosion syndrome (RCES) in a prospective, randomised, controlled trial. Methods Patients with RCES not responding to conservative were recruited randomised undergo ALD or PTK. masked their group. The primary outcome measure was intensity pain on waking, using numerical rating scale between 0 10 record subjective score. Results 17 eyes treated 16 mean follow-up period 16.25 17.25 months, respectively. There no differences baseline parameters scores at 3, 6, 12 24 months groups. score improved from 3 months (ALD, p=0.022; PTK, p=0.014) 6 months p=0.033; p=0.036) both groups, but only group p=0.035; p=0.500). Overall, there complete partial resolution symptoms 11 (65%) (63%) PTK Recurrence observed five six one failure long-term complications. Conclusions should be considered as an alternative management promising results compared
