摘要: Expression of foreign peptides on the surface cowpea mosaic virus particles leads to creation chimaeras with a variety phenotypes and yields. Two factors were shown be particularly significant in determining properties given chimaera: length inserted sequence its isoelectric point. The deleterious effect high point ability chimeras produce systemic infection occurs irrespective site insertion peptide. Ultrastructural analysis tissue infected different showed that all produced tendency aggregate, size or insert. Host range transmission studies revealed expression peptide did not (1) alter host range, (2) increase rate by beetles through seed, (3) change insect vector specificity. These findings have implications for both utility biosafety Cowpea virus-based chimaeras.
