摘要: Publisher Summary Attempts to fractionate the mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation system have met with some success and hold promise of contributing further significant decisive data understanding mechanism energy transduction in mitochondria. The reconstituted systems two parts. One is submitochondrial particle (SMP) or resolved membranous preparations derived from SMP other consists one more soluble proteins dissociated mitochondria by various procedures, such as sonic mechanical disruption, extraction aqueous solutions organic solvents, desiccation followed extraction. These are capable restoring activity appropriately depleted called “coupling factors” “energy-transfer factors.” chapter discusses accepted coupling factors, their assay properties. It reviews that except for ammonia- ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) (AE particle), most deficient than factor respond additively several them. This, together fact F1 ATPase none factors has intrinsic activity, made it extremely difficult determine role complex sequence interlinked reactions resulting ATP production associated ion transport phenomena. Coupling into classes: functional which a catalytic structural including phospholipids, involved maintenance vesicular structure association interacting components leads synthesis an efficient manner.
