[Heart tumors: incidence, distribution, diagnosis. Exemplified by 20,305 echocardiographies].

摘要: The occurrence, type and location of cardiac tumors as detected by Doppler-echocardiography are reviewed. In a series 20,305 consecutive echocardiographic studies performed at our institution over four-year period, were identified in 30 patients (0.15%; 17 male 13 female, mean age 53 years). Primary 21/30 (70%; 50 years), secondary 5/30 (17%; 58 years); however, 4/30 (13%) the could not be classified (mean 59 group with primary tumors, benign found 18/21 (86%) malignant 3/21 (14%). All masses myxomas (18/18) accounted for 60% all tumors; they mainly located left atrium (16/18 or 89%) rarely occurred right (2/18 11%).
