摘要: Abstract Purpose of the study In this randomized controlled trial (RCT), we assessed feasibility and acceptability two simple home-based relaxation programs in adults experiencing subjective cognitive decline, a strong predictor Alzheimer's disease. Design methods Sixty participants were to beginner Kirtan Kriya meditation (KK) program or music listening (ML) program. Participants asked practice 12 min daily for first 12 weeks, then as often they liked following 3 months. underwent assessments at baseline, 6 months evaluate changes key outcomes. Feasibility evaluated by measuring recruitment retention rates, assessment visit attendance, adherence, treatment expectancy; exit questionnaires completed weeks provided additional data regarding participant experience with study, perceived barriers facilitators practice, reasons drop-out, views assigned intervention. Results Fifty-three (88%) month study. Adherence both groups was excellent, completing 93% (91% KK, 94% ML) sessions on average 71% (68% 74% during month, practice-optional, follow-up period. At week 12, over 80% indicated likely continue practicing completion. Responses structured open-ended questionnaire items also suggested high satisfaction programs. Conclusions Findings RCT ML suggest that well accepted practices are feasible early memory loss.
