摘要: In this study, 12 women and men, ages 18-33 year, with androgenetic alopecia were selected for biopsies from frontal occipital scalp sites. The androgen receptor, type I II 5 α -reductase, cytochrome P-450-aromatase enzyme measured analyzed in hair follicles these biopsies. Findings revealed that both men have higher levels of receptors -reductase follices than follicles, whereas aromatase found their follicles. There are marked quantitative differences the three enzymes, which we find to be primarily outer root sheath two genders. Androgen receptor content female was approximately 40% lower male follicle. Cytochrome women's six times greater men. Frontal had 3 3.5 less II, respectively, These steroid-converting enzymes may account different clinical presentations
