摘要: Muscle biopsy was taken from the vastus lateralis muscle during surgery of recent fractures neck femur in 52 patients aged 66-100 years. The percentage slow twitch (ST) fibres close to 55% with no significant change age and difference between without clinical diagnoses prior fracture. Also subgrouping fast (FT) showed insignificant changes this range. fibre areas were smaller for FT than ST fibres. A comparison proximal distal sampling site did not show any difference. Combining these results previous our laboratories relative composition could be proven.
