摘要: Cognitive radio has been widely considered as one of the prominent solutions to tackle spectrum scarcity. While majority existing research focused on single-band cognitive radio, multiband represents great promises toward implementing efficient networks compared single-based networks. Multiband (MB-CRNs) are expected significantly enhance network's throughput and provide better channel maintenance by reducing handoff frequency. Nevertheless, wideband front-end access impose a number challenges yet overcome. This paper provides an in-depth analysis recent advancements in sensing techniques, their limitations, possible future directions improve them. We study cooperative communications for MB-CRNs fundamental limit diversity sampling. also investigate several limits tradeoffs various design parameters MB-CRNs. In addition, we explore key performance metrics that differ from conventional used single-band-based
