摘要: OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the correlation of amniotic fluid (AF) markers (AFMs) intra-amniotic infection with histopathologic findings in cases preterm labor intact membranes, between 22 and 36 weeks’ gestation. STUDY DESIGN: We reviewed charts patients admitted membranes January 1993 December 1996. Those having amniocentesis were identified, AFMs compared histopathology who delivered within 48 hours amniocentesis. The evaluated glucose, polymorphonuclear leukocytes, Gram stain, culture. All placentae by a single pathologist blinded to AF findings. Histologic evidence acute inflammation was defined both subchorial intervillositis marginating choriodeciduitis. sensitivities, specificities, positive negative predictive values various calculated. RESULTS: Of 556 women presenting labor, 181 (32.6%) had 88 Histopathologic chorioamnionitis seen 53 (60.2%). (with their sensitivity, specificity, values) were: leukocytes at >10/high-power field (22.6%, 97.2%, 92.3%, 46.1%), stain (26.4%, 94.6%, 87.5%, 47.3%), culture (28.3%, 92.1%, 83.3%, 4 7.9%), glucose <15 mg/dl 88.2%, 47.9%), respectively. Using receiver-operator characteristic curve for different levels level <20 most sensitive predictor histologic chorioamnionitis. CONCLUSION: present 60.2% births due our institution offered accepted subsequently hours. may be useful predictors efficient AFM this group mg/dl.
