Inhibition of tillering in cereals by substituted 2-phenoxypropionic acids

摘要: The properties of various mono- and di-substituted analogues 2-phenoxypropionic acid as inhibitors tillering were investigated on wheat, barley rice. Highest levels activity shown by (R)2-Cl,5-Cl, (R)2-Cl,5-F, (R)2-Cl,5-methyl analogues. Few or no signs phytotoxic effects (leaf chlorosis necrosis) evident wheat following spray application these compounds. Rice was both more susceptible to inhibition effects. However, almost complete achieved some compounds rice with little phytotoxicity. Comparisons made between the commercially used phenoxyacetic phenoxypropionic herbicides plant growth regulators.
