摘要: Over the last decade, low economic growth rates resulted in intensified competition between nations, regions, and towns trying to attract new firms inhabitants. In particular, establishment of has become one most vital objectives governments public authorities all over Europe. To raise attractiveness a region, different instruments have been used: tax reductions, incentives for establishments, as business destination promotion activities, supply outstanding infrastructure services. On hand, this paper investigates effects possible options cantonal municipal authorities' intent firms: improvements transport infrastructure, designation building zones, but not least reductions. These actions tested by simulating decisions existing firms. The parameters these simulations estimated with discrete choice model using data cantons St.Gallen both Appenzell well Zurich. other aims provide an approach implement models UrbanSim. UrbanSim is software-based simulation system supporting planning analysis urban development, incorporating interactions land use, transportation, economy, environment. At moment, adapted European context (see according research project SustainCity, www.sustaincity.eu).
