The objective this study was to evaluate the penetration ceftiofur- desfuroylceftiofur-related metabolites (DCA) infected chambers, disposition DCA in plasma across four different sacrifice days postdosing. Twelve healthy calves were utilized following implantation with paralumbar fossa. Tissue each calf randomly inoculated either haemolytica or PBS. Calves assigned 4 groups 3 be sacrificed on 3, 5, 7 9 Prior euthanasia, chamber fluid collected, immediately samples obtained from anatomical sites concentration analysis. Results our found that, general, concentrations followed a rank order plasma > infected fluid > noninfected fluid > lung tissue. Data also indicated remained above therapeutic threshold 0.2 μg/mL for 0.2 μg/g at least 7 days post-treatment.
