摘要: By using a hemolytic plaque assay for IFN-gamma secretion by single cells, we found that one to three secreting cells per 1 X 10(3) mononuclear were present in the blood from normal adult and newborn humans, without vitro culture or stimulation antigens mitogens. The frequency of such was higher newborns. These spontaneous IFN-gamma-secreting predominantly T helper/inducer phenotype, as defined treatment with monoclonal antibody complement. indirect immunofluorescence staining, it seen 1% adults 3.5% newborns contained cytoplasmic IFN-gamma. IFN-gamma-positive belonged heterogeneous population morphology staining antibody. majority these DR-positive cells. We propose IFN-gamma-producing activated vivo, they possibly mediate antiviral lymphokine activities.
