摘要: Products of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) genes play several key roles in autoimmune response. Besides being predominantly responsible for rejection tissue grafts and graft-versus-host reactions, molecules encoded by MHC are directly involved recognition antigen T-cells. The also determines to a great extent whether or not particular will evoke an immune chapter begins with synopsis antigens their involvement normal response, together review factors presentation. This is followed summary recent studies which show that wide variety cells, including those from endocrine tissues, may express class II antigens, like HLA-DR, under certain conditions. In last section, possible consequences this phenomenon discussed regard autoimmunity.
