摘要: ABSTRACT Background This study investigated an operator's and pediatric patients' responses to chemo-mechanical caries removal (CMCR) versus the traditional method (TM) of using a handpiece round bur when treating dentinal-depth occlusal lesions with minimal enamel access in primary molars. Methods Data were collected from 50 children at baseline before, during after CMCR or TM. The subjects group on average younger than TM had more deep lesions. Results operator rated as needing clinical technical effort total He was less satisfied Subjects perceived time needed for treatment significantly longer did group. Fear dentist decreased before operative appointment, while it increased Conclusions authors found no direct advantage over Clinical Implications cannot be recommended alternative dentinal depth
