摘要: Efficient transport of class I major histocompatibility complex molecules to the cell surface requires association heavy chain with endogenous peptide and light chain, beta 2-microglobulin (beta 2M). A mutant line deficient in 2M transports low amounts nonpeptide-associated chains that can associate exogenously provided synthetic antigens. Normal 2M-sufficient cells grown serum-free media devoid also require an exogenous source efficiently bind peptide. Thus, on normal do not spontaneously or exchange peptides.
