摘要: Quantitative agarose gel assays reveal that the recA protein promoted renaturation of complementary DNA strands (phi X DNA) proceeds in two stages. The first stage results formation unit-length duplex as well a distribution other products ("initial products"). In second stage, initial are converted to complex multipaired structures ("network DNA"). presence ATP, formed within 2 min and then rapidly network DNA. absence nearly fast with ATP present, but they at much lower rate. time-dependent from single for both ATP-stimulated ATP-independent reactions can be modeled by using simple two-step sequential kinetic scheme. This model indicates primary effect reaction is not on pairing step (which leads products) rather increase rate which subsequent events occur.
