摘要: We demonstrate that RecA protein can mediate annealing of complementary DNA strands in vitro by at least two different mechanisms. The first mechanism predominates under conditions where causes coaggregation single-stranded (ssDNA) molecules and RecA-free ssDNA stretches are present on both reaction partners. Under these take place between locally concentrated protein-free sequences. Other aggregating agents like histone H1 or ethanol stimulate the same mechanism. second RecA-mediated is best manifested when preformed saturated RecA-ssDNA complexes interact with ssDNA. In this case, occur strand resident complex interacts complex. Here, action reflects its specific recombination promoting This enables presynaptic RecA-DNA to be exposed for hydrogen bond formation contacting filament.
